MONTEREY, CA, UNITED STATES, September 9, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Gotham Motorsports, Ferrari Race Team is proud to announce that team drivers Yousuf Nabi and Radu Muntean will return to competition in the RacingAmerica’s InternationalGT Series at the legendary WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, October 2–4, 2026.

The Laguna Seca event will mark the first race back for Gotham Motorsports race team since the team encountered technical issues with its race cars during the Road America weekend in June. Following the setback, the team took additional time to evaluate the car, address the technical concerns, and prepare for its return to competition.

“Road America was obviously a frustrating weekend for our team because of the technical issues we experienced with the cars,” said Yousuf Nabi, Driver of Gotham Motorsports. “But that’s racing. You have setbacks, you learn from them, you fix the problems, and you come back stronger. We’ve taken the time to address the issues and make sure we’re prepared for Laguna Seca. I’m excited to get back behind the wheel.”

Nabi will once again be joined by teammate Radu Muntean, as the Gotham Motorsports program resumes its two-driver InternationalGT campaign.

A Fresh Start at Laguna Seca

The return to racing comes at one of the most recognizable circuits in North American motorsports.

WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca’s 2.238-mile layout, dramatic elevation changes, and iconic Corkscrew corner make it one of the most technically demanding circuits on the calendar. For Gotham Motorsports, the October 2–4 weekend represents both a return to competition and a fresh opportunity to build momentum for the remainder of the 2026 season.

The team will arrive at Laguna Seca focused on one priority: putting the Road America setback behind them and getting back to racing.

“We’re not looking at Laguna Seca as simply another race,” Nabi added. “For us, it’s a reset. We had a technical problem at Road America, and we’ve spent the time since then making sure we understand what happened and that we’re ready to move forward. Radu and I are both hungry to get back out there.”
