Long Beach, CA, Sept. 10, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Aegis Treatment Centers, part of the Pinnacle Treatment Centers family of companies, today announced the recent opening of a new medication location in Long Beach, California. The Long Beach site will operate as a sister clinic to Aegis’s Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) in nearby Wilmington, CA, giving Long Beach residents a closer, more accessible option for starting treatment closer to home.
Los Angeles County is home to one of the highest concentrations of people struggling with opioid addiction in the state, yet access to affordable, accessible treatment remains out of reach for too many. Long Beach is a large, diverse city where distance, cost, transportation, and availability continue to be barriers to care. The new Aegis medication facility was developed specifically to address those gaps, bringing treatment directly into the community so that more people can get help without having to go far to find it.
Patients can receive medication at the Long Beach site, with ongoing clinical support coordinated through the Wilmington OTP. Most major insurance, self-pay, and Medicaid/Medi-Cal are accepted.
“Long Beach represents exactly why we do this work.”, said Rachel McDuffee, Regional Vice President for Pinnacle Treatment Centers. “Too many people in communities like Long Beach are fighting addiction without the support they need, and we’re going to change that. I’m incredibly proud of this expansion and what it means for patients who deserve timely, high-quality support no matter their zip code.”
The Aegis Long Beach Medication Unit offers medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD), including methadone and buprenorphine (Suboxone), along with ongoing care coordination. Patients receive personalized treatment plans developed by licensed clinical staff and are supported throughout their recovery journey.
The Aegis Long Beach Medication Unit is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., and is located at 757 Pacific Ave, Long Beach, CA 90813. Walk-ins are welcomed and same-day admissions are available.
