Global executive and association leader to guide ASCM’s mission of advancing supply chain professionals, economies and a better world through supply chain
CHICAGO, IL, UNITED STATES, September 16, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) today announced that Elizabeth K. Usher, MBA, has been named the organization’s next chief executive officer, effective December 1, 2026. Usher was selected following a comprehensive search led by ASCM’s Board of Directors in partnership with executive search firm Vetted Solutions.
Usher brings more than 20 years of executive leadership spanning global healthcare businesses and nonprofit associations. She currently serves as chief executive officer and executive director of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), the world’s largest dermatologic society, where she has led substantial and sustained revenue growth since 2020 while strengthening member value and transforming operations. Earlier in her career, she held executive commercial and general management roles at the College of American Pathologists and GE Healthcare/Amersham Health, with P&L and commercial responsibility across global businesses in cancer treatment, molecular imaging, and surgical imaging, as well as executive oversight of the operations and supply chain capabilities critical to their performance.
“On behalf of the ASCM Board of Directors, I want to thank Abe Eshkenazi for his 20 years of dedicated leadership as the outgoing CEO. We are deeply grateful for his service and for the strong foundation he leaves us. As we look to the future, I am excited to welcome Elizabeth Usher as ASCM’s next CEO,” said Mike Bunge, vice president of supply chain at Hamilton Beach Brands and chair of the ASCM Board of Directors. “Elizabeth is a growth-oriented leader with a proven track record of driving results across complex global organizations. Her experience building strategy, financial discipline, and member and stakeholder value in mission-driven organizations makes her the right leader to advance ASCM’s work on behalf of the global supply chain community.”
“I am honored to join ASCM at such a pivotal moment for the supply chain profession,” said Usher. “I look forward to partnering with the board, staff, and our members and partners around the world to advance supply chain professionals, improve economies and continue building a better world through supply chain.”
Usher holds a Master of Business Administration in international business from the Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Science in management science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she serves on the College of Sciences Advisory Board.
